Mangawhai Golf Club – an excellent 18 hole Links course (5
minutes drive)
Wellsford Golf Club – 18 Holes (15 minute drive)
Waipu Golf Club – 18 Holes (20 minute drive)
Surfing (Our Choice!):
Either at Mangawhai heads (has surf patrol) or at Te Arai Point,
both approximately 10 minute drive. Also Te Arai beach which is
5 minutes away.
Fishing / Diving:
Good fishing and diving outside Mangawhai Heads. 3 –4 Charter
companies at Mangawhai Heads.
Boat Ramps:
One next to the local pub (2 minutes drive from the property), suitable
for small boats 2 hours either side of high tide. There is a ramp
for larger boats at Mangawhai Heads.
Water Skiing:
There is a ski-channel in the harbour, where you can ski at any
tide. Also try Tomorata Lakes, 15 minute drive back towards Wellsford.
It is also possible to water ski from the sections own shoreline
1 - 2 hours either side of high water.
Horse Riding:
3 Horse Riding companies close by: Mangawhai, Pakiri and Waipu.
Penrose Farm:
Donkey rides and farm visits.
